Obituary of Leon J. Mondelli

Leon J. Mondelli, 79, of Prospect Park , NJ passed away peacefully at his home on Friday January 6, 2023. He was born in Georgia and lived in Paterson before moving to Prospect Park 49 years ago. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 20 years and he also worked as an Electronic Technician for Thomas Electronics in Totowa for 20 years. Leon loved everything about trains. He loved traveling by train,model trains and even built a whole track that ran through his attic. Pennsylvania Railroad was his favorite. He was also an avid history buff and enjoyed learning about the Civil War, and everything about Abraham Lincoln.He is the dear son of the late Joseph and Janet Mondelli (nee Foster).Leon is survived by his wife of 57 years Gloria (nee Alvarez), his children Steve, Brian, and Gary Mondelli and his wife Catherine, his sister Paula Tehlewitz and her husband Boris. Loving grandfather of Isabella Mondelli.

Funeral on Thursday  at Deluccia Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Ave., Haledon NJ at 10 AM. Visiting on Wednesday from 4-8PM. Interment at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn, NJ.
