Obituary of David Pohl

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

David H. Pohl age 58, of Haledon, NJ was tragically taken from his family and friends on Monday, December 28, 2020. Born in Paterson, he lived in Pleasantville, NY before returning to Haledon two years ago.  Dave graduated from Passaic County Technical Institute where he pursued studies in auto body repair.  He was a tremendously industrious person highly skilled in both auto body repair and painting. Dave was most recently employed with Ft. Lee Auto Body as a master craftsman.  He also was a long time, highly valued employee of SP Plus at Met Life Stadium where he was a senior supervisor.  Dave enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends, doing whatever would put a smile on our faces.  He was always willing to drop whatever he was doing to help out family, friends, and neighbors in any way he could; there was almost nothing that Dave couldn’t figure out how to fix or repair.  Loving father to Dylan Pohl and wife Kaitlyn and Celeste Pohl.  Devoted son of Willi H. Pohl and the late Veronica.  Beloved brother to Margaret and the late Frederick Werley and Hilde and William Valenzano.  Cherished Uncle of Drew Valenzano , Allison and Alex Kellerman and Grand Uncle to their 2 daughters.  Dave also leaves behind many cousins and countless friends and co-workers, he will be greatly missed by all who loved him.  Funeral services on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at De Luccia – Lozito Funeral Home at 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ at 8 PM.   Visitation on Wednesday from from 4-8 PM.  Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warrior Project or the Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge would be appreciated.
